Ghost Towns follows Ezma, an art college student, whose ex went missing three months prior to the story. She lives with her best friend, Bea, and Bea’s girlfriend, Juno. While investigating the weird happenings in Nightingale, Washington; she discovers a strange book that leads her closer to solving the mysteries surrounding the small college town.
Though the stress of searching for her ex deters her from properly moving on with her life, she pushes through enough to attend Juno’s birthday party. This is where Casper gets her chance to properly meet her long time crush, who she’s been watching perform on stage for years. Little did Ezma know, meeting Casper would pull her deeper into trouble.
MMC is a new age all girl rock band that features Kat, Ezma, Alaska, Bea, and Pen. Their lead singer, Kat, is a retired young pop star. Ezma grew up in a creative household and was constantly in musical competition with her younger sister and now plays lead guitar. Alaska had a difficult childhood and found comfort in playing the bass. Bea learned to play the drums from her father and continues on to remember her childhood. Pen grew up as a weird kid and loved playing piano and keyboard.
The band took a brief hiatus after Wes disappeared since he was the original lead singer. Ezma, Bea and Alaska decided to pause their band until he was found. Unfortunately, the longer he was missing, they lost hope and decided to start the band back up by finding Kat and Pen.
Ghost Towns’ main romantic pairing is between Ezma and Casper. Their slow burn, potentially doomed storyline holds them in a grip of conflicting feelings. The two can’t help but feel a connection to one another with their common interests, considerate actions, and undeniable chemistry.
